Data controls

Understand what happens to your data.

Removing Instagram access, requesting deletion of Instagram data, and deleting your complete InboxLoop organization are different actions. Here is what each one changes and what, if anything, remains afterward.

Reversible

If Instagram authorization is removed

This happens when access to InboxLoop is removed from the connected Instagram or Meta account. InboxLoop immediately stops using that authorization, but it does not treat the action as a request to erase the Workspace history.

Reconnect available

Removed or disabled

  • The Instagram access token and its expiry information.
  • InboxLoop's ability to receive or send activity for that connection.
  • Published status for Workspace Automations; they are changed to unpublished.
  • Any running or waiting Automation journeys; they are cancelled.

Kept in InboxLoop

  • Your organization, Workspace, and team access.
  • The disconnected channel record so InboxLoop can show that reconnection is required.
  • Contacts, analytics, Automation definitions, and previous activity history.
  • The minimum Instagram identifier needed to recognize repeated deauthorization notices.

Reconnecting restores authorization, but previously cancelled Automation journeys do not restart from the middle. Review and publish the Automations you want to run again.

Deletes one Instagram integration

If Instagram data deletion is requested

InboxLoop first stops activity for the affected Workspace, then permanently removes the data owned by that connected Instagram integration. The InboxLoop organization itself is not deleted.

Permanently deleted

  • The connected Instagram account and channel records.
  • Contacts associated with that Instagram connection.
  • Automation instances and event subscriptions for the connection.
  • Raw and normalized Meta webhook data.
  • Analytics associated with the deleted connected channel.

Kept in InboxLoop

  • The organization, Workspace, and team access.
  • Saved Automation configurations.
  • Those saved Automations remain unpublished and cannot run without a connection.
  • A limited deletion audit record used to confirm status and handle repeated deletion notices safely.

A future Instagram connection starts as a new integration. Deleted contacts, analytics, webhook data, and past Automation executions are not restored by reconnecting.

Permanent and organization-wide

If the InboxLoop organization is deleted

Only the organization owner can confirm this action. Access is disabled immediately while permanent deletion is processed. This is not the same as disconnecting Instagram and it cannot be reversed.

Cannot be undone

Permanently deleted

  • The organization and every Workspace it owns.
  • Workspace memberships and attached InboxLoop user accounts.
  • Connected channels and Instagram account records.
  • Automations, definitions, nodes, instances, and subscriptions.
  • Contacts, analytics, webhook data, activity logs, and submitted feedback.

Limited information that persists

  • A minimal internal deletion audit record showing that the request was processed.

Current organization deletion also removes user accounts attached to that organization, not only their membership in the Workspace. Any access those accounts have elsewhere is affected as well.
